How to use different wallets with a Mantle bridge
You can bridge assets between wallets on Mantle, but the source, recipient, network and gas balance must line up before you approve a transfer.

You can use different wallets to send assets across a Mantle bridge by connecting the wallet that holds the funds and specifying a recipient wallet if the bridge allows it. The bridge moves assets between networks; it does not combine accounts or make the wallets interchangeable. A mantle bridge guide covers the broader transfer process.
Can I connect one wallet and receive into another?
Yes, if the bridge provides a recipient-address field; otherwise, the transfer usually goes to the connected wallet’s address. Check that field before signing, because a wallet address on Ethereum and the same address on Mantle are separate balances on separate networks.
For two different wallets, connect the source wallet with the assets and enter the destination wallet’s public address. Confirm that the destination wallet can display and send assets on Mantle. A wallet that cannot show the Mantle network may leave the funds hard to access from that app, even if the transfer itself completed.
What should I check before signing?
Check the route, token and recipient in the bridge interface, then make sure each wallet can pay the fees for its part of the transfer. An ERC-20 deposit may require a token approval before the deposit transaction; approval gives a contract permission to spend the specified token, but it does not itself move funds.
- Confirm the source network and token contract, not just the ticker symbol.
- Check every recipient character against the destination wallet’s public address.
- Keep the source network’s gas token available for the transfer and any required approval.
- Leave the destination wallet enough native gas token for later transactions on Mantle.
Review the address and amount in the wallet confirmation as well as in the bridge. A wrong recipient or unsupported token can make recovery difficult or impossible.
Is using two wallets better than one?
For most users, one wallet across both networks is simpler: it avoids mistyping a second address and keeps the bridged balance under the same account. Two wallets can help separate trading funds from longer-term holdings, but add a destination check and require both wallets to support the relevant network.
Wallet apps are interfaces to accounts, not containers that carry assets between chains. The bridge handles the cross-network transfer; the connected account, chosen recipient and network support determine where the funds can be used afterward.
