How to Pay Contributor Invoices Through a Mantle Bridge
Paying a contributor on Mantle takes two transactions when funds start elsewhere: bridge the agreed token, then send it to the invoice wallet and log both hashes.

Paying a contributor on Mantle requires bridging funds to the network, then sending a separate payment to the contributor’s wallet. The bridge moves assets between Ethereum and Mantle; it does not settle an invoice or send funds to a recipient automatically.
What should an invoice specify for a Mantle payment?
An invoice should name the token, network, recipient address, amount and due date. Agree whether the amount is fixed in tokens or converted from a fiat amount, and if converted, which exchange rate and timestamp apply. For the transfer checks—network, token contract, recipient address and gas—the fuller mantle bridge guide covers what to verify before signing.
- Token and network: for example, USDC on Mantle, rather than USDC on Ethereum.
- Recipient wallet address, copied directly from the contributor and confirmed through a trusted channel.
- Amount and any agreed rule for exchange-rate conversion.
- Who covers bridge and transaction fees, and what proof of payment the contributor needs.
A matching ticker does not guarantee that two tokens on different networks are the same asset. Confirm the token contract and network with the recipient before moving funds.
How do you bridge funds before paying?
Use Mantle’s official bridge interface to move the agreed token from Ethereum to Mantle if the funds are not already there. Connect the wallet holding the funds, select the direction and token, enter the amount, check the receiving wallet and review the transaction before signing.
An ERC-20 transfer may require a token approval before the deposit; approval gives the bridge contract permission to spend tokens but does not move them by itself. Ethereum gas pays for the approval and deposit. After the funds arrive on Mantle, a separate Mantle transaction sends them to the contributor, and that transaction needs gas in MNT.
How do you send and document the invoice payment?
Send the payment from your Mantle wallet to the address on the invoice, then share the transaction hash with the contributor. Check the destination address and amount on the wallet confirmation screen before signing, and confirm the transaction appears on Mantle’s explorer before marking the invoice paid.
Keep the invoice, the bridge transaction hash and the payment hash together in your accounting records. The bridge hash shows the funding transfer; only the second hash records the contributor payment. If funds already sit on Mantle, skip the bridge step and make the direct transfer.
